How To Keep Your Skin Healthy

(Image: courtesy of Pixabay)

Keeping your skin healthy is an important part of life because it can make you feel good about yourself and not be worried about infections that may arise. Infected wounds either due to injuries that you get may cause skin problems, lesions, and worse, infections which may be bad for your overall health.

To keep your skin healthy we have some tips that might help you care for your skin, that can help avoid infection that can leave scars and create punctures on your skin.

Wash with either an anti-bacterial soap or a regular skin soap that you use regularly. This will help remove the dirt on your skin and help it be washed with fresh water from the tap or faucet. Gently apply the skin soap to your body either with a soap bar or liquid soap. Rub your hands against the skin and gently try to remove the residue of the soap by showering with warm water or cool water. Do this during seasons when the temperature where you are is very hot. Washing or bathing in warm or cool water can also help relax your skin pores and your muscles and give you a refreshed feeling.

Wash your head with a gentle shampoo for people that will help your scalp be rid of oils, dirt, and possible dandruff. Put a small amount (about the size of 25 cents or 5 cents) of your regular shampoo on the palm of your hands. Work your hands and fingers with shampoo onto your hair and scalp. Try to rub the scalp with the shampoo by gently rubbing or working your fingers from the forehead going down the back of your head. If you have sensitive skin, start with the lower part of your hair and rub the shampoo starting with the ends of your long hair. Then, rinse or wash away the hair and shampoo with clean water.

Always wash wounds from cuts with an anti-bacterial soap or your regular soap to prevent it from becoming infected further and cause an unsightly scar. If there is no water and soap available where you got a cut, reach for alcohol and a badge for first aid. Then, once you get to the place where you wash with soap and do further cleansing of the wound, immediately wash and clean the wound and apply necessary medication if needed.

Pimples are common among teens or young adults and they can be a bother for some and for others become a source of having an inferiority complex or insecurity. What you can do to help heal or remove a pimple is by having it checked by a local dermatologist who could prescribe medication that will help remove several pimples that you may have. Also, wash your face with some water with salt and a gentle or mild facial soap preferably those that are clear white in colour.

Watch what you eat to avoid getting pimples and always wash your face in the morning and before retiring to bed. A recommended diet to avoid having pimple infection is staying away from too many sweets, several sugary drinks, extremely salty food and fatty food that may cause skin problems that you do not want to have.

Drink plenty of water that will help you flush out toxins in the food that you eat. Warm water before bedtime and early in the morning can help flush out the toxins that you have ingested during the day. This will also make your skin look good because you have a lot of necessary fluids to keep it supple and help clean your internal organs every day.

If you have to put on make-up or sunblock, make sure to wash it away at the end of the day. This will keep your skin healthy, free from pimples and other infections that may be caused by the food you eat and exposure to hazards in the environment.

If you have to spend time under the sun a lot, wear a cap, hat, long-sleeved shirts, pants and other protective clothing that will help protect your skin. This will help shield your skin from the hot rays of the sun which can cause wrinkles fast even if you are still young.

Add green leafy vegetables, fruits, products made from grains (bread, nan or flatbread, cakes and noodles), nuts, beans, root crops and milk to your diet. Make sure that you have some of these foods in your diet because they help in keeping the entire body healthy and, of course, your skin. Some portions of meat, fish, seafood is also good for the body. But make sure that they are cooked to avoid bacterial infection that you might get from raw uncooked meats.

If possible, avoid rubbing various ointments and potions on your skin which may cause allergies or allergic reaction. If you are allergic to certain massage oil or ointment, do not put much of it on your skin. Find another brand of this oil and if it suits you, use this instead.

If you have smelly skin, try bathing and washing with warm water with added salt and liquid or bar soap. Soak in warm water, with a little bit of salt, and some liquid soap or gently apply the bar soap on your skin to remove the foul scent. This will then even relax your senses as you bathe and wash. Fruity flavoured soaps might attract dust mites that can bite and cause rashes to your skin.

Always use a clean towel to absorb the water left on your skin after showering or bathing. If possible, make sure that you change your towels daily. If this is not possible, change it at least every week. Wash your towels regularly to keep your skin healthy and beautiful. But if your towel has become very dirty or soiled due to frequent use, change it to a clean towel.

Always change your clothes after bathing or showering with freshly washed clothes. Use detergents that are going to disinfect your clothes by properly choosing the right brand of supplies for your clothes washing needs.

Get enough sleep during the night or whenever you have the time to nap. This will keep your skin healthy and is also good for your overall physical, mental and psychosocial health. It can keep you calm help you enjoy life and make you appreciate the days to come as well, especially if you spend them with the people you love.

Caring for your skin is important to keep you looking good, healthy and strong. Take good care of it to be happy, confident, healthy and comfortable with it as you go about your days and make beautiful memories with your loved ones.

Have a lovely day or night.

Why Some People Quit Their Jobs

There are various reasons why some people quit their jobs. Let's take a look at some of them.

Some people quit their jobs because they do not feel confident about doing the job that they have to do. One of the reasons that they feel this way is because they may feel that they cannot do the job to the expectations of their employer. They may also feel that they cannot handle the pressure and stress that come along with the job.

Some quit their job because of health reasons. They may have fallen ill and can no longer perform their duties and the tasks that they are supposed to do. Some may have become sick, disabled and maybe having a difficult time coping with the workload that they have to complete.

Another reason why some people quit their jobs is that they may no longer find satisfaction in the job that they do. Some quit because they find no more gratification in the work that they do and feel that it is time to move on, shift to a new career or do something that they really love to do. They move to another job that they may have been dreaming of or perhaps want to learn new skills to educate, improve and develop skills they already have.

Some quit their jobs because they want to take a break or a breather from the routine that they have every day, day-in and day-out. Some want to breathe and make the most of this break from their everyday work to re-energize and recuperate from tiredness, especially for those who have heavy or hard jobs. They perhaps want to reconnect with their families or loved ones whom they may have not seen for a long time and learn new skills that will improve them professionally.

Others quit because they have to prioritize family over work, especially when they are having little ones to take care of or elderlies to watch out for. For most people, family is a very important part of our lives and for this reason, people leave their jobs because they have to move to another location with their family so that they can all be together in one house and be able to enjoy togetherness everyday. Some quit their jobs to move to another country where their better half is, where their parents are or where their children or relatives are.

In worse case scenarios some quit because of office politics, issues they may have with co-workers, superiors or associates. Or, disagreements regarding personal or professional differences between superiors, co-workers or associates. The inability to adjust to the organization's culture may be a factor for some people which is why they quit their job. Some quit because of some superior who has a bit of a temper, others quit because they do not feel welcome or enjoy the atmosphere in the workplace. Or, they do not feel comfortable in the company culture that they have to work in where they spend most of their time.

Others quit because they perhaps have other dreams that they want to fulfil. Some put up their own businesses. They venture into pursuing a dream or idea that they want to happen and fulfil this dream no matter what other people say to them. They are determined to take on new challenges and pursue a business venture or a shift to a new career that they feel that they will enjoy and have a great time doing.

Some momentarily quit their jobs because they want to learn new things and educate themselves with matters that they feel is necessary for their personal and professional growth. Businesses could benefit from these people who keep learning new things every day because they like learning new things that might be able to help them personally, professionally and maybe even other people or the new company or business that they intend to work with or projects they have to work on.

If you have other observations or other reasons about why some people quit their jobs, you may write them down in the comments.

Have a lovely day or night.

Afternoon In Pampanga

The breeze is warm,

And the birds are chirping amongst the trees.

They seem to be conversing,

With some sort of melody.

I hope you are happy,

On this day,

As the afternoon on my side of the world,

Pass like any other day.

Keep yourself lovely and, of course, happy,

Enjoy each moment of the day as you go about it.

Happy Wednesday.

As You Retire To Bed

 As you retire to bed,

I pray that you get to rest.

Relax the body, mind and spirit,

From all the stresses you have gathered.

Sleep well and let go,

Of all the things that make you tired.

Recuperate from the tiredness,

And regain the energy you want back.

Good night to you or good day.

May your tomorrow be ok.

Almost at the End Of April

Almost at the end of April,

And the skies are a little darker,

The dark clouds covering up the sky,

And cooling down the temperature.

The mildly warm day,

Relaxes the senses,

As we go from one second to the next,

May everything be okay.

Have a lovely day or night.

How To Spend 24 Hours Well

Each day we are given 24 hours to spend on various things that we hope to accomplish. It is a very short period of time but you can go on the next day to make your goals come true and work on things that you want to accomplish. However, it is up to you to accomplish what you want at the top of your priority list.

Spend time with the family. Spending time to connect with the family at home is sometimes one of the priorities that family men and women would like to accomplish and is at the top of their priority list. Checking on the kids or the old folks may be one of the top priority you have that will make your day well spent. Making sure that they have had their meals, took their vitamins or medication and asking how they are feeling for the day could be something important to you. Some of us want to make sure that everything is well at home and with the family to give us peace of mind.

Work on an economic activity that will potentially earn you an income. Working on a job that will help support us financially is perhaps another priority that is on our list of things to do for each day. Making sure that we spare a number of hours for work is something we have to do for us to earn money; and for us to use this income to buy the things we need for our daily lives. Making sure that we do our tasks in the jobs we have is very important to keep it and learn new skills which may be helpful for us either today or for the future as well.

Doing chores for the home or those which we need to do at work. Sometimes we need to have a schedule for doing chores like washing the dishes, doing laundry and cleaning the house to keep the home clean and safe for us to live in. It's just a matter of when you are supposed to do these things within the day or week to make sure that these things are taken care of within the 24 hour period or in a week.

Have time for yourself. Giving yourself some break within the day is also a good way to distress and relax. Some do some yoga, do a bit of exercise, have coffee breaks or have some time to do some reading and learning as they spend some time alone. A break from all the other activities is very important to relax the senses and regenerate some energy.

Have some time to sleep. Even with short breaks during the day, sleep is a very important factor in regenerating neurons in the brain and recuperating from a hard day at work. It is very good in helping us regain our energy for the next day. It also helps the body and the senses relax. Sleep is very important within the 24 hour period of a day. Never be without it if you want to keep yourself healthy and strong for the future days to come.

How about you, what is a well-spent 24 hours for you? You may share your thoughts in the comments.

Have a lovely night or day.

Warm Summer Day

There is a warm summer day,

And the heat is on its way.

The sun is majestically shining over us,

Heating up the day.

May you be okay,

Wherever you are today.

Simply joyful and happy

As you go by each day.
