When you have little money coming in because you do not get paid a lot from the job that you have, you need to keep expenses to a minimum to keep the home, pay home bills and utilities and have some money for food. 

Make sure that you have a budget for food, shelter and clothing. These are the basic necessities that you have to have money for all the time. These things are needed to keep you alive and safe, wherever you may be. Food is necessary to nourish the body, shelter to keep you safe from harm and clothes to keep you warm and protected from the environment. 

Make sure that you have some savings or money set aside for possible miscellaneous expenses. Some expenses might pop up every now and then. They could be expenses for things that you kids need in school, things that you need at home, things that you need for work, things that you need for travel or other things that you need to make life easier to live.

Pay for social security, healthcare and other expenses that may have something to do with the children's educational expenses. Social security is important because it can benefit you or your beneficiaries in your old age or if you die. Healthcare contributions can also help when you fall ill or sick. Other expenses for your children's education should also be set aside to keep them going in school. This could include allowances, tools that they need for education and other expenses that may be incurred for educational purposes.

If you have extra money, set some money aside for insurance for the family. Setting some money aside for your family's insurance can be helpful for them. Money set aside for family insurance can be some kind of savings for them that your family can use once the insurance matures. The returns can be used by your children in the future and be a form of inheritance as well. 

A limited budget that is well-spent can get you through each month but looking for side hustles to add to your income will also help. If you are able to get one, the income you make will also add to your budget.
