Bohol, Philippines

Bohol is home to the chocolate hills and famous for their peanut kisses. They also are popular for their local kalamay or sticky rice pudding and aquatic resources. It is also the place where the blood compact between the Spanish explorers and the locals of the town happened. This was made between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna as a peace pact. This blood compact is called the Sandugo in the local dialect. It celebrated every year at the Sandugo Festival.
